They'll colonise your ruins.ĩ) As for your beastherds, if one pops, send it off attacking small, nearby, settlements, don't expect to see it again. When you get to the stage of having spare cash, fund them. Use diplomacy, make friends with the Skaven and the Norse and even the Greenskins and Vampires if you can. No need to build the same buildings in each one if they can meet up and swap troops trivially.Ĩ) Don't sweat the beastherds or the rage. Exploit this by having them not just act as ambush bait for each other, but specialise your hordes. How and WHEN you fight is important.ħ) You can keep your hordes close together. When you engage his main line, it should be alone, and charged by your whole army on all sides.Ħ) As noted, watch the moon effects. Pull his army apart, pounce on each small bit at once, and then vanish. Drag the enemy one way after what they can see, then another when the first lot vanishes, then eat his back line with sneaky AD troops, who then vanish. Ruthlessly exploit terrain, and invisible troops. Don't forget some hounds and ungor raiders.ĥ) Play out almost every battle. Chaos Spawn or Bestigors, with their LL, can be almost free. Raid if you can.Ĥ) Whichever LL you pick, exploit their favourite units. Forest paths to break pursuit and get to new feeding grounds (but see point 2. Hidden encampment to break pursuit and rebuild troops. You don't want to walk into an opposing stack, and often they will chase you for a while.ģ) Use the stances well.

If you're in a fair fight, you shouldn't be.Ģ) On the campaign map, keep a hero or two seperate for scouting, before and behind. You wont be able to use alliances to try and do this, because allies like to declare war on your brayherds, even if they are a 1000 reputation military ally.ġ) Don't play fair. If you dont do this, your end game will most likely be those two factions in the top 3 in power with 50-100 settlements each, hunting you down with endless stacks. Same thing with the Dwarves if you want the Long Victory. If you do, you have to beeline to the empire and keep them from thriving. Picking the right option in the dilemma depending on what is happening around you is literally what is going to make your campaign easy or hard.įinally, and most importantly, dont turn off the Chaos Invasion.

Time your aggressive moments around favorable full moon effects. You can get through at least the first third of the campaign with the starter units + tier 1/2 stuff + RoRs. Save your money, dont worry about horde buildings early except maybe the upkeep reduction one. By the time research times get excessive, you will have at least one hero that can steal technology. Ignore the research speed techs (that cost money) until the end game. After these go for the buffs to razing/raiding income.
